Ski touring Lastoi de Formin

The Lastoi of Mount Formin is a splendid lookout on Cortina’s peaks and, in particular, on the jagged cordillera of the Croda da Lago.

The descent along the Val Formin is considered one of the most delirious in the Dolomitic area. Technically not difficult and on mixed terrain for open spaces, canals and woods, it is not to be underestimated for its long path that requires a good workout.

This is a popular winter outing both for the often powdery snow in Val Formin and for the grandiose views from the summit. the route is largely safe, with the exception of the final part of Val Formin, where it cuts through the steep slopes descending from Croda da Lago.

One can descend by taking the same route as the ascent or via the Tree Canal.
