Description

This new route is named “Via ferrata Maria and Andrea Ferrari”, and it allows to climb on Ra Bujela thanks to the help of steel ropes, two walkways and some pegs that facilitate the ascent in the most steep points.

Easily reached by the Tofana ski lifts, it is a popular route.

Access

Reach Duca d’Aosta mountain hut with the chairlift from Piè Tofana and from the Rifugio follow the signs for Via Ferrata which in about 15 min will take you to the starting point.

Ascent description

The first part of the route is certainly the most challenging and lends some very exposed parts, on excellent rock. Once reached the first bridge, the difficulties are lowered and once reached the second walkway the path runs through the ridge, on broken rocks: the poor quality of the rock in this section does not prejudice in any way the safety of the ascent, and it is just along this stretch that you can enjoy the magnificent panorama that the Dolomites always give us. A few meters from the top, there is a fork of the cable, climb to the right to the top; on the left instead you will start the descent.

Note

Via Ferrata that develops along the northern side of the two towers in the middle of which rises the chairlift that leads to the Rif. Pomedes. New way certainly exciting but not very long that allows, to the most trained, to get linked also to the path Olivieri, the path Astaldi and even the most demanding Punta Anna.
