Description

An easy via ferrata, only partially aided with rather short via ferrata sections. Suitable for families with children, it can be covered both uphill starting from Passo Giau and downhill starting from Nuvolau.

The walk is always on rocky terrain, well signposted. The metal ladder on the rock edge near the Nuvolau refuge is very characteristic.

Access

There are two possible accesses: from Giau Pass along Trail 443 or from Cinque Torri Refuge, also along Trail 443, but in the opposite direction.

Ascent description

The initial walk is easy, whether starting from the Giau Pass or the Cinque Torri refuge. The trail leads to Ra Gusela, with passages in chimneys and metal ladders. Once the first section is finished, you walk on a rocky path to the last equipped section of about 70 meters to reach the Rifugio Nuvolau.

Descent description

By trail 452 to Giau Pass or if you started at Cinque Torri hut, follow trail 439.
