The via ferrata Caprioli in San Vito di Cadore, opened in late June 2024, is a recent addition that enriches the offerings for mountain and via ferrata enthusiasts. Made possible through the financial efforts of numerous local authorities, it is located in the heart of the Dolomites and offers a combination of technical challenges and amazing views of the surrounding peaks. This ferrata was created by the Guide Alpine Cortina and offers a medium difficulty route with challenging sections suitable for experienced hikers.
The ferrata is named after the Caprioli San Vito Sports Association, which has been active since the postwar period and has promoted various sports activities, particularly skiing and climbing. The association has contributed significantly to the development of the local community.
