Cortina d’Ampezzo
Most of the via ferratas in the Dolomites were built during World War I to enable soldiers to travel along mountain trails. They have become increasingly popular and this type of rock climbing allows even inexperienced climbers to reach higher viewpoints.
Safety is ensured by technical equipment, infrastructure and, of course, our mountain guides.

Depart from Cortina at 8:30 am and transfer to Passo Giau to start the tour with the easy Ferrata Ra Gusela.
We descend Mount Nuvolau to reach the Forcella Averau from where the ascent along the ferrata of the same name begins. Both ferrata routes are easy, and from the top of both peaks you have a 360-degree view of the surrounding Dolomite peaks. We then continue with an easy hike along the trail around Averau to finally arrive at the Rifugio Col Gallina for an overnight stay.
Departure from the Rifugio Col Gallina and ascent to the easy Sote Cordes trail. In a short time you reach the Castelletto Via Ferrata, an interesting ferrata from a historical point of view.
Then continue to Tofana Cave, a natural cave at the foot of the imposing Tofana di Rozes face. Return along the CAI 404 trail near the Rifugio Dibona.
