DESCRIPTION

Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

This was the wording of the advertisement with which Ernest Shackleton recruited the crew of the Endurance in 1914 for one of the most legendary expeditions in history: the crossing of Antarctica.

Today, more than a century later, the primal allure of those frozen lands remains untouched.

Aboard the modern Ocean Albatros, we will set sail from Ushuaia, cross the Beagle Channel, and face the legendary waters of the Drake Passage to reach the Antarctic Peninsula. There, among whales and penguins, we will ski untouched mountains where time seems to have stood still.

An adventure at the edge of the world, organized in collaboration with Ice Axe Expeditions, a leader in extreme exploration. Led by Doug Stoup and an international team of expert guides, we will venture into the heart of Antarctica in search of that eternal crystal that only these latitudes hold.

Ice Axe Expeditions

Ice Axe Expeditions is thrilled to announce its new Antarctic Adventure 2025: an exploration cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula. Ice Axe Expeditions has chartered a 140-passenger ship, the Ocean Albatros, for a 13-day, 12-night expedition.

An experience that brings together adventurers, explorers, and humanitarians from all over the world, creating a unique blend of international and local spirit.
